Built for timing
Not every moment is right for an introduction. Rome respects that and keeps the door open for later.
About Rome
Rome was created around a simple belief: technology should help people continue meaningful real-world interactions, not replace them.
The moments we remember rarely happen through a screen. They happen out in the world — a conversation in a café, a smile across a train carriage, someone you notice at a concert, or a stranger you wish you'd had the courage to speak to.
But as more of our lives move online, real-world connection is becoming easier to avoid. Social media and technology were meant to bring us closer, yet too often they leave us scrolling, swiping and watching life happen instead of taking part in it.
Rome is built around a different idea: technology should help us connect in the real world, not replace it. Sometimes the timing isn't right, you don't know what to say, or a moment simply passes before you get the chance to act.
Using privacy-first Bluetooth proximity and shared event attendance, Rome helps you rediscover people you've genuinely crossed paths with — giving you a second chance to say hello, start a conversation, and turn a passing moment into something real.
Our philosophy
Rome principles
Not every moment is right for an introduction. Rome respects that and keeps the door open for later.
Interest is always a choice. Nothing becomes visible or actionable unless both people want it.
A privacy-first foundation matters because people should feel safe before they ever feel intrigued.
