Terms of Service

Terms for using Rome.

These terms apply when you use the Rome app, website, and related services. By using Rome, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Rome is for respectful adults only.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rome. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. Do not use Rome if you are legally barred from using dating, social, or online communications services in your jurisdiction.

User content and conduct

You are responsible for profile information, photos, prompts, messages, reports, and any other content you submit to Rome. Do not post or send illegal, misleading, infringing, sexually exploitative, hateful, threatening, harassing, abusive, spammy, or otherwise objectionable content. Do not impersonate others, scrape the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use Rome for commercial solicitation or unlawful activity.

Zero tolerance safety policy

Rome has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This includes harassment, threats, hate, non-consensual sexual content, sexual exploitation, attempts to harm or intimidate others, and behavior that makes the community less safe. We may remove content, restrict features, freeze accounts, ban users, or take other action when we believe the rules have been broken or safety is at risk.

Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report or block another user from within the app. Reports may be reviewed by Rome to investigate safety issues and enforce these terms. Blocking is designed to prevent the blocked pair from seeing or messaging each other through matching surfaces. Reporting is the path for notifying Rome about inappropriate content or behavior that needs review.

Account deletion and retention

You can delete your account in the app settings. Deletion removes or anonymizes personal account details, including Apple sign-in metadata and profile information. Some records, such as match, message, report, block, security, or service integrity records, may be retained in anonymized or limited form where needed for safety, legal, anti-abuse, debugging, or operational purposes.

Service availability and ownership

Rome may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves. The Rome name, branding, software, website, copy, and related materials are owned by Rome or used with permission. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or reuse them except as allowed by law or with written approval.
